Description

This prayer wheel is approximately 8 inches long (20 cm) and has a spherical top measuring 1.75 inches high (4.5 cm) and 2 inches in diameter (5 cm). The handle is 5.25 inches long (13 cm).

The spherical top is made of steel with steel and copper accents. The base of the drum has 4 Vajras, symbols of enlightenment in Tibbetan Buddhism. Written around the circumference of the drum is the Avalokiteshvara mantra of Om Mani Padme Hum. The mantra is written 5 times, in three separate tracks and is written in raised Indian Rajana script. The piece is also accented with blue and red glass beads.

The prayer wheel can also be opened to reveal a wound scroll imprinted with copies of the Avalokiteshvara mantra. The prayers are block printed with black ink on handmade paper.

This Tibetan prayer wheel is a beautiful, hand crafted piece of art, which will look wonderful displayed on a mantle or desk.
